i finally make use of D minor

snow fills the cracks of who we hate to be
it makes us all shiny and new today
i wish it could stay a little longer
but i feel a thaw coming on here - its about to melt away

the world seems brighter with all the reflected light
so i crawl out of bed before the afternoon
it offsets the shortened days and early nights
that are forever sneaking in too soon

today, i wont feel guilty for staying in
busses wont run and classes are cancelled
most everyone is glad for the break
me, im glad for (more of) the same but without all the conflict
